Obsessive Becoming was a self published photobook in which I analyzed and dissected physical landscapes through a digital lens, and vice versa: virtual landscapes and their relationship to the “real”.

Much of my early artistic practice stems from my distaste of the concept of photorealism. There is no such thing; photography can never capture “reality”, and basing virtual worlds off of this “reality” will only lead to warped perceptions. Though photography is not the solitary element of my artistic endeavors today, this project was my first foray into incorporating virtual landscapes into my craft.
